Fire breaks out at Istanbul Ataturk Airport

A fire broke out in cargo department at Ataturk Airport in Istanbul on Wednesday. According to the preliminary information, the fire broke out in cargo department of Terminal of the airport at 3.30 p.m. today.

FIRE NOT DISTURB AIR TRAFFIC AT ATATURK AIRPORT

“A huge fire which broke out at Ataturk Airport in Istanbul on Wednesday did not hamper air traffic”,
sources said.

Sources told that firefighters have been exerting all efforts to take the fire under control, adding that it broke out at 3.30 p.m. in HAVAS Cargo, then spread to Sistem Logistics and Celebi Cargo.

“The reason of the fire was not immediately known”, sources added.
