Fire Severely Damages Room in Walking Street Hotel.,Pattaya

At around 2:30 on Friday morning fire brigade, police, and volunteers were called to the Jasmine Hotel in Soi BJ, off Walking Street, to deal with a blaze that had apparently broken out in a room on the fourth floor of the building.
The room was occupied by a 40-year-old Englishman who was fortunately not in residence at the time the fire broke out. Staff on the front counter were alerted to the blaze when a number of male customers came running downstairs with their adopted daughters reporting smoke coming from nearby.
All occupants of the hotel were evacuated without incident. Firemen believe the blaze may have been caused by an electrical fault and damage is estimated at over 100,000 baht

Fri, Jun. 15, 2007
FORT WORTH -- Firefighters battled an early-morning fire at the Days Inn on South University that forced the evacuation of about 27 guests, a fire official said Friday.

The fire was reported at about midnight at the hotel in the 1500 block of South University Drive, fire department officials said.

No injuries were reported in the blaze that was caused by an electrical short in a motor in the hotel's attic, Battalion Chief Donald Clark said.

The fire was brought under control around 2 a.m. Three units in the hotel had extensive smoke damage, but smoke had entered numerous other units in the complex.

Damage was estimated to be $33,000, Clark said.

A spokeswoman for the hotel said that hotel staff found alternative lodging for displaced customers at other area hotels on the west side of Fort Worth.

Major fire burns at Vacation Motor Hotel
Flames reach 30 feet into sky

A major fire was ripping through the Vacation Motor Hotel in New Providence at 11 p.m. Saturday.

Firefighters rushed to the scene and were battling the blaze, which was sending flames 30 feet into the night sky.

After a fierce battle involving five fire trucks, two rescue trucks and three ambulances, firefighters had the blaze under control.

But the fire already had badly damaged 12 rooms at the motel.

Fire hoses were laid across Providence Boulevard to supply water for two ladder trucks that helped bring the fire under control in a little over an hour.
