Fabrication
All bedspreads to be double quilted with lock stitch (safety
stitching) using no. 23 multi-filament nylon thread.
Exact dimensions, including drop, must be provided in
specifications.
Pillow tuck minimum 450mm (18").
Fabric sewn and matched before quilting to ensure pattern
and quilt match.
Provide one centre panel in middle of bedspread. 2 widths
of fabric used for double size and 21/2 or 3 widths used
for king size, depending on pattern.
Corners must be mitred, overlapped corners come apart
easily.
Welt to be 25mm single needle hems (self-welt).
Dust ruffle, bed skirt, or upholstered treatment must
be provided to cover box spring. Exposed box spring is not
acceptable.
When dust ruffles are used, the decking must extend beyond
the top end of the box spring and be secured to the box
spring frame to avoid movement of the dust ruffle.
